A lot of Heart, all for Him

I'm blue dabudeedabuda

So I decided to go blue. I never was really happy with the pink but I didn't take the time to see if I could program a unique template rather than use one of theirs. Oh well.

Well, the next little while is going to be a wee bit busy. This weekend was rather enjoyable though! Friday evening I went line dancing for the first time and it was great!! Nashville here I come hopefully soon! I'm still a newbie and can't remember any of the steps but thats ok because if I see it a couple of times I usually pick it up. Oh I should post some pictures! Wait, I can't exactly do that yet because I'm waiting for someone to send me the pictures. Well I can post a couple of the group shots but just not any action shots because I was dancing the whole time! Tons of fun.

Saturday morning we had a good prayer meeting and then went out for sushi. The very sad thing is that I had to go to work so I didn't get to stay long enough to eat any sushi. I was disappointed. I must go back there sometime. I have only eaten sushi once before. Then work was work, I won't go into that. Right after work, I went to the church to practice because I was singing at a worship service that evening. Turns out we changed everything last minute and just ended up having a group sitting in a circle singing with an accoustic and keys rather than a whole band. I am very glad we did that instead of having the whole band play!

Sunday was a good day. Church in the morning, then set up for taste of Malaysia. From there we went to Bamboo Garden for some Vietnamese food. Very tasty. After that, I went home for a bit and then returned to the church to finish preparing for taste of Malaysia where I somehow was drafted into being the non-Asian customer in a skit! AAHHHH!! Thankfully I only had 2 lines and I was kind of hiding behind people so thats ok. I was also involved in a Malaysian fashion show and was a server of all the food. After that... :-) ... I went home and went to bed. So overall it was a pretty busy weekend!

This week is also going to be busy. I have an exam on Friday and one next Wednesday. I have a major paper due Monday. Tonight is Life, Wednesday night is Crew, Tuesday and Thursday night I work and Friday night I am leaving for the weekend to go up to Muskoka for my girls first competition of the year. So somewhere this week on top of class and my evening activities I have to put in some major studying and paper writing! It's going to be very interesting. Not sure how I'm going to get it all done but I will.

Riding the bus to school everyday for me is a very relaxing time. Most times the sun is just rising and it is absolutely beautiful. I am just so amazed by God and how much He is seen in His creation. I am just so amazed by God period! How much He loves me, leads and directs me, ya I can't even type everything that He does and all the ways that He is just such an incredible God. Last night I was watching the snowflakes land on my windshield and was just thinking that He created each of those snowflakes. The intricacy of each one of those tiny flakes just makes me stare in awe and want to tell God how incredible and powerful and majestic He is and how much I love Him with all of my being. If He took the time to design a snowflake, think about us-we are created in His image! Haha I'm just getting so excited because God is so exciting!! Living for God and learning about Him is so exciting!! I would love to type more about my excitement and just talk about the perfect nature of God and all that cool stuff but I will have to save it for next time. If you don't do this normally, try it: find and see God in the little things in your everyday life. No word can describe Him justly. God just is!

Who says you are supposed to read on reading week?

Well it certainly has been a while. Life keeps me very busy and entertained! I am trying to think what I have been up to since I last posted and the only thing I can think of is school, work and church stuff. Oh! I went to Sno Camp – lots of fun! Great worship, good food, jumping monkeys lol, sweet air while tubing and fantastic stars – overall a very enjoyable weekend. After Sno Camp, spend some good times with friends, hanging out, laughing lots. Would have been line dancing but unfortunately that didn’t work out – hopefully going in a few weeks though! Haha that’s going to be quite an experience!
Work has been pretty stressful, first competition in 2 weeks and the girls are not ready yet. We have a practice competition this Sunday too.
So I had to go to school to watch this dance show for my dance class. I was very disappointed. You would think that a university dance ensemble would be decent!! In my dance class, a couple of the girls came to my dance class and taught us a part of one of the dances they did at the show. I don’t mean to sound cocky or anything but by the end of the class, I could have gotten on stage and performed that dance just as well as the rest of the dancers who were in the show. Maybe I have too high expectations. Or maybe not. I was hoping for more. I miss dancing. I have got to find some auditions or classes or something to go here. I’m going crazy just having all this academic stuff and no real dancing to do that challenges me!
Midterms, building houses for the homeless cats, rescuing homeless cats from frigid temperatures outside and giving them a home, not eating chocolate for a week just to prove I can, staying up way too late and then trying to stay awake in class – that’s about all I’ve been up to, nothing really interesting!
Yesterday was a fantastic day though! Woke up, shoveled 2 driveways, made some dessert then went to Jackie’s house. Jackie was hosting an African dinner as an alternative for Valentine’s which I thought was a great idea since I really don’t like Valentine’s or any of those commercialized days. Our society just tries to get people to buy all this material stuff that we really don’t need – just like on birthdays and Christmas. Silly society. I will spare you from reading more of my beefs on those topics thought.
So as I was saying – yesterday, African dinner, lots of fun! Great food! Great company and socializing. After the dinner, we all went over to BBC for the Crew bible study. There were a bunch of Pentecostals and Baptists at Jackie’s dinner, so everyone went for the bible study afterwards and it was so amusing because it was so easy to tell who was Baptist and who was Pentecostal! I was in the rowdy group for discussion but being in the rowdy group is so much fun – it entertains me to just watch and listen to people. I didn’t say anything the whole time. It was a great evening.
Well I don’t really know what else to type about now. So I will end it there. I can’t decide what pictures to put up so I’m not going to put any up today. Too many choices.
Hopefully next time won’t be so long between posts. That is the goal. But now that I have done updating my blog, I can check something off my list to do!! Wooohooo. One more thing done! Ok I’m going now,
ttfn :-)
