Who says you are supposed to read on reading week?
Well it certainly has been a while. Life keeps me very busy and entertained! I am trying to think what I have been up to since I last posted and the only thing I can think of is school, work and church stuff. Oh! I went to Sno Camp – lots of fun! Great worship, good food, jumping monkeys lol, sweet air while tubing and fantastic stars – overall a very enjoyable weekend. After Sno Camp, spend some good times with friends, hanging out, laughing lots. Would have been line dancing but unfortunately that didn’t work out – hopefully going in a few weeks though! Haha that’s going to be quite an experience!
Work has been pretty stressful, first competition in 2 weeks and the girls are not ready yet. We have a practice competition this Sunday too.
So I had to go to school to watch this dance show for my dance class. I was very disappointed. You would think that a university dance ensemble would be decent!! In my dance class, a couple of the girls came to my dance class and taught us a part of one of the dances they did at the show. I don’t mean to sound cocky or anything but by the end of the class, I could have gotten on stage and performed that dance just as well as the rest of the dancers who were in the show. Maybe I have too high expectations. Or maybe not. I was hoping for more. I miss dancing. I have got to find some auditions or classes or something to go here. I’m going crazy just having all this academic stuff and no real dancing to do that challenges me!
Midterms, building houses for the homeless cats, rescuing homeless cats from frigid temperatures outside and giving them a home, not eating chocolate for a week just to prove I can, staying up way too late and then trying to stay awake in class – that’s about all I’ve been up to, nothing really interesting!
Yesterday was a fantastic day though! Woke up, shoveled 2 driveways, made some dessert then went to Jackie’s house. Jackie was hosting an African dinner as an alternative for Valentine’s which I thought was a great idea since I really don’t like Valentine’s or any of those commercialized days. Our society just tries to get people to buy all this material stuff that we really don’t need – just like on birthdays and Christmas. Silly society. I will spare you from reading more of my beefs on those topics thought.
So as I was saying – yesterday, African dinner, lots of fun! Great food! Great company and socializing. After the dinner, we all went over to BBC for the Crew bible study. There were a bunch of Pentecostals and Baptists at Jackie’s dinner, so everyone went for the bible study afterwards and it was so amusing because it was so easy to tell who was Baptist and who was Pentecostal! I was in the rowdy group for discussion but being in the rowdy group is so much fun – it entertains me to just watch and listen to people. I didn’t say anything the whole time. It was a great evening.
Well I don’t really know what else to type about now. So I will end it there. I can’t decide what pictures to put up so I’m not going to put any up today. Too many choices.
Hopefully next time won’t be so long between posts. That is the goal. But now that I have done updating my blog, I can check something off my list to do!! Wooohooo. One more thing done! Ok I’m going now,
ttfn :-)
