Busy but wonderful time of year
Last week Friday we had a family dinner for my grandfather’s birthday. Saturday was prayer meeting in the morning, work in the afternoon, straight to curling with some friends and then our surprise dinner with friends. We have been having these ‘surprise dinners’ with these friends for a few years now. The mother’s are a team, the father’s are a team and Ryan, Janelle and I are a team. We each have to come up with different courses of the meal and make them without sharing what we are making with the other teams until it is set on the table. Since these dinners started, the mother team has always tried to do a flambé which has never worked. So this year they decided to pass the torch on to my group which was rather fitting since we had the pyromaniac. So we decided to do something called steak diane for our flambé. To make a long story short, it worked beautifully! The steak was on fire, the table was on fire and Ryan’s hand was on fire! But oh what a beautiful blue flame it was! That was very exciting. And now to continue on with the weekend…last Sunday afternoon/evening was my dad’s side of the family Christmas. Monday evening we had some friends over for dinner. During the week, it wasn’t too busy except for me going shopping every single day Monday thru Friday! That was enjoyable. Then Thursday evening I got together with some high school friends - good times.
Saturday, I went to Bramalea Baptist at 10am and started decorating for the young adults banquet that evening. I really enjoyed decorating! Some of the guys tried to do a bit of decorating stuff with myself and Arlene but I had to send them back into the kitchen. Here is a picture of the decorating we did on the stage:

So I decorated from 10am – 4pm then Arlene and I went home to get ready and came back an hour later to do some last minute preparations. The evening went well! Here are a bunch of pictures from the night.
This is almost everyone. A bunch of people left before the evening was over so they did not make it into the big group photo.
I would add more pictures except they aren't uploading for me so maybe in another blog I will do that or ask me if you want to see more.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
