Far above the clouds
It's t-shirt and almost air conditioning weather in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania today! So far it's been a very productive yet busy day. I am here for the weekend to paint my dad's house. I must give details of my travels though because I greatly enjoyed the trip! In the past I have driven the 7 hours to get here but this time I got to fly. I don't fly very often so I look forward to any opportunity to fly, especially when it means not spending those 7 hours sitting in a vehicle! So I was trying to decide if I wanted a window or aisle seat but I just couldn't decide, so I took both! I also had no one sitting beside me so I got 2 windows-it was great! It was a nice small cozy plane: 9 rows, 17 seats, 2 pilots - only 14 passengers on this flight though. Some people even had to turn sideways to fit down the aisle! There were no flight attendants but the pilot told us that if we had any questions, we could just come right up to the cockpit and ask! I couldn't think of any questions :-( I should have thought harder.
I really enjoy the take off part of the flight, particularily the feeling of extreme speed as we were racing down the air strop and being pushed back into our seats! When we got above the clouds, it was absolutely beautiful! God creates so many different types of clouds and they are all so very nice to look at. Too bad I had to come back down again :-( it wasn't nearly as sunny down there. Once I got to the airport in Harrisburg, I decided to stop at the lavatory, where I discovered something very amusing in my mind! The toilet seats were all covered in plastic, when I looked closer, I read that before you sit down, you are supposed to wave your hand in front of this sensor. I did that, not too sure what to expect and then suddenly the plastic on the seat started moving from left to right until the seat was covered with fresh plastic! What an inventive idea! I thought it to be rather amusing. I get amused with simple things sometimes! :-)
And now the rest of the weekend will be spend painting! I have a goal that must be accomplished before I leave: the whole house must be painted. Too bad I won't have time to see the finished product with all the furniture in it but I'll have to get my parents to take pictures since who knows when I will be able to get down here in the near future. So it's an early morning tomorrow: 7:30 wake-up and then right to work! My mother wants me to take a break from painting to go shopping on Saturday afternoon. Normally I would jump at that chance but I have a mission, and I will not allow myself to stray from my mission! I have no doubt in my mind that my mission will be accomplished - especially with 5 people working on it! So maybe, just maybe, I might have a chance to do a bit of shopping before I leave because shopping in America is much better than in Canada!

i did indeed have fun! it was excellent! :-) the weekend was crazy busy but good and very productive. unfortunately i did not get to fly back but drove instead. but a 7.5 hour drive seems soooo much faster when i get to drive for 5.5 of those hours!
